Seasoned Flour Fried Chicken Tacos with Avocado Salsa

Ingredients

FOR THE FRIED CHICKENS:
  • 1 packet of KLFC Seasoning Flour (1kg)
  • 1 kg of chicken (legs, thighs, or breast pieces)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

FOR THE AVOCADO SALSA:
  • 2 ripe avocados, diced
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 small jalapeño (optional), finely diced

FOR THE TACOS: 
  • 12 small soft flour tortillas
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

STEP 1: MARINATE THE CHICKEN
  • In a bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, egg, salt, and pepper.
  • Submerge the chicken pieces in the buttermilk mixture and let marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for better flavor).

STEP 2: PREPARE THE FRIED CHICKEN
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • While the oil heats, dredge each piece of marinated chicken in KLFC's seasoned flour, making sure it’s fully coated.
  • Fry the chicken in batches for 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

STEP 3: MAKE THE AVOCADO SALSA
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the diced avocado, chopped onion, diced tomato, lime juice, cilantro, salt, pepper, and jalapeño (if using).
  • Gently toss to combine, making sure not to mash the avocado too much.

STEP 4: ASSEMBLE THE TACOS
  • Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 10-15 seconds.
  • Place a piece of fried chicken in the center of each tortilla.
  • Top with a generous spoonful of avocado salsa.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
